A Designer’s Workspace

For the first 2 months of 2023, I was busy building the most important space where I spend 85% of my time.

And today I will give you a broad view of my workspace and some tips and resources on how you can make one for yourself too.

🤯Your workspace is your little creative oasis, as soon as you sit on your work chair, all the creativity and ideas at the back of your mind should come flowing to you.

And for this to happen, there are some essential things you need to do~

  1. Keep your desk clutter-free: After keeping equipment there should be enough space for them to breathe.
  2. Keep small indoor plants on your table or in your room, they give a breath of fresh air and are a plus for aesthetics.
Here’s a good place if you want to check out some nice indoor plants online: https://tinyurl.com/5crdza9y

🔮But wait real magic happens in the details, I prefer having a workspace which is a mix of inspiration and relaxation.

That is why I have a small LED Naruto lamp on my table and also a Naruto poster (which is now on the wall, btw!)

A recent addition to my workspace “My Naruto Lamp”

If you have watched this anime, you’d know how inspiring this character is and that is why he is here, inspiring me to keep working towards my dream and to have fun in the process✨

Here are a few places where you can buy such anime-related stuff for your workspace:

🚀Oh but with a lot of inspiration and motivation, there comes another thing…STRESS!

It’s a fact that every day won’t be the same and there are some days when even anime can’t save you🥲

and that’s why I keep a stack of essential self-help books on my worktable, although I make sure to read daily for 15 mins, some days they help me a lot in overcoming any creative or motivational blocks.

These are some of the basic self-help books that you should definitely have in your book collection.

But make sure you keep all your books organized in a stack otherwise it will make your table cluttered, here you can find the book holder that I am using to organize them properly: https://rb.gy/wbfv

🖼️And to really get into the zone, I’ve got a set of my own Mix & Match wallpapers ready to go on all my screens.

Do you also want to get your pack of these awesome wallpapers for designers? If yes, then you can grab it here for free😍: https://tinyurl.com/ywxbyy8d

All of these little touches may seem trivial, but they really do make a huge difference in my day-to-day productivity and creativity.

After all, as UX designers, we know that every detail counts, right?

And with that, we come to the end of my workspace story, but I will definitely keep updating my workspace as well as this blog regularly so don’t forget to follow me here on Medium.

Also, you can always connect with me on LinkedIn, Instagram or Twitter and I will answer any question you have on creating a workspace.

¡Hasta Luego!👋
